Satoru graduated from JART (Japan Association of Remedial Therapy) in 2013 and has been practicing massage with a focus on sports ever since. After moving to Australia, he completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage at The Australasian College of Natural Therapies in August 2016.

At S&DT he also completed 10 months of training before gaining the title of Remedial Therapist.

Satoru is a long distance trail runner and has participated in many races all over the globe. This passion, as well as his resistance training regime, has in turn led him to personally experience many of the injuries associated with extreme fitness goals, giving him further insight into his work in sports therapies.

Satoru is trained in Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Active and Passive Release Techniques, MET (muscle energy technique). He has also completed a Level 1 Craniosacral Therapy course in September 2016, modules 1 and 2 of  Somatic Experiencing (SE) in October 2016 and Level 1 Myofascial Cupping Technique™ in October 2017 . His most recent accomplishment was the completion of his Certificate 3 in Fitness in June 2017 at the Australian College of Sport and Fitness, which has only added to his knowledge of human functional anatomy, various sporting injuries, and exercise science.

Satoru is registered with all major health funds.
